Fallout 4 - Ultra Settings 1080p/60 Gameplay

So does this bode well for my i72600k, 280x?

The game actually looks nice which is good stay considering all the controversy.

On the bright side, apparently reducing 'Godrays' to Medium (or Low) gives a substantial performance boost with no noticeable (or barely noticeable) IQ loss.

Drop the god rays down to low and a lot of cards can run this game. There is hardly any difference between low and ultra. There IS a diff but you'd need a screenshot and sometime to analyze it to see it. Thus its kinda crazy to run ultra rays and take that hit.

Thanks for posting dude! I checked out your review video; mother of God I cannot wait until tomorrow! I already have the game pre-loaded on Steam. Oh wait. Won't it unlock tonight at midnight?!?!?!?!? HNNNGGGGG

Well thank godness its the press version and no AMD drivers are out yet, I expect something similar to what happened to Skyrim launch which was bad for AMD cards as well.

Looks like i'm gonna be golden for tonight! I have happy shivers since this morning!!!!!!!!
But between Ultra and VeryHigh there's so little difference and most of the time the games run a bit more smoothly.

I'm willing to bet it will run fine with a few strategic things like god rays and shadows dialed back. I'll let you know.

apparently you can unlock it via using a vpn, there is instruction at the fo4 reddit
Some people are worried about being banded, but they said only if you purchased it over vpn not unlock.... hard to say ymmv

Just an FYI if some are that eager to play today
