My computer specs are in my sig. I have a samsung 22" widescreen lcd, and its native resolution is 1680x1050. Everytime I run fallout 3 on default settings (which is set for "High") it runs great, as long as I keep the resolution to something around 1200x1000 (or something like that). But if I move it to 1680x1050 the game lags at a ridiculous rate. I even changed the settings to "medium" and ran it at 1680x1050 and still same lag problems. Any ideas on how to fix this? I was told with my build I shouldn't have issues running it at 1680x1050.

Thanks!

I can't say what the problem would be......oh wait.......you have what appears to be a Pentium Dual-core. D'OH!

Seriously. This is a high-end game. Running at high on smaller resolutions isn't much of a problem, but
your system probably won't handle any resolution past 1440x900 very well.....plus the mobo is a little old.

Besides that, it's safe to say that the game is buggy. It freezes on me after about an hour of play (thank God for Autosave! :D), and'
that's with my SUPER God-like specs (sorry to make fun of your sig.... XD).

Sorry. Enough bragging. I would just run it at a lower resolution.....on Fallout 3, the resolution doesn't do a whole lot to the image quality.

Post over in PC Gaming. Or...mods move it there. More people with 1st hand experience with the game might be able to help you out.

I don't have the game, but personally I don't think it's your processor/mobo. Dilly probably didn't see the "4300" after "Intel Dual Core." Try turning down the graphics options (especially anything to do with shaders) and keep the native resolution, that'll give you a hint - if that helps, it's probably your video card. Make sure you have the latest drivers.

It could be a ton of things...as sites start to review the game and post benchmarks and specific issues, you may see something that pops out at you.
