Fallout 3 Character Leveling

So after 6+ months off from playing Fallout 3 I got the itch to play some more so I downloaded all of the expansion packs. As I’m sure you know, the Broken Steel expansion raises your character’s level cap from 20 to 30. Well, before I beat the game a while back I went a little nuts finding every single skill book I could. When I beat the game I was a level 20 with all but two skills maxed out at 100.

I’m now a level 24 with only 1 non-maxed skill and that is at 85. My character gets 21 skill points per level, so I’m worried about what will happen when I reach level 25. I’ll have 21 skill points to spend, and will only be able to actually use 15 of them. Because there is no option to skip the leveling up process, will my game just get stuck on the Level Up! screen indefinitely?

Hopefully Bethesda accounted for obsessive people like me and created a “forfeit non-spent skill points and move on” button for the Level Up! screen. I still want to be able to level up to 30, though, because I want those perks.

I recall hearing about that as a potential game breaker a few months after the game came out. I'm not sure if they actually fixed that in the patches.
