Fallon is a better late night host than Conan will ever be.

Conan has a sharp rapier wit, Fallon is an also-ran among many. Ferguson is great too. Though the talk show circuit, with the majority of actor/musician guests advertising their current projects, doesn't really interest me much.

I've never liked Fallon. He is too goofy and nice. The show is too childish and cheesy for me, like a talk show for toddlers or something. His commercials with the babies suits him.

And I've been a big fan of The Roots since Do You Want More, but I've never understood why they even agreed to be on this show....oh wait....$$$

You are trolling for sure!

Conan is light years ahead of where Fallon will ever be. Fallon will never be anywhere near as good as Conan. Fallon is nice, show is pretty awful, roots are awesome 🙂

Fallon's show is actually damn good now. I love Conan, I really do--but Fallon is a much, much better host for this type of show.

He's also very current, so that's good for NBC

The Roots have never been about making money. I'd bet they decided to be the shows band because Jimmy's a huge fan and really the only late night host who gives love to rappers. Leno has stated numerous time he hates rap and he rarely has rappers on the show. Kimmel has rappers on, but he's not really into it. Jimmy's pretty hardcore into it. They probably also did it because they just rock as a band and it was an opportunity for the world to see them in action. I'm sure the money didn't hurt, but they wouldn't sell out just for some dollars.

Stable income and a stable home would probably be a big deal for a lot of bands that have been touring/recording as long as they have.

I can't stand either fucking one of them...then again, none of the late night hosts is worth a shit anymore.
I USED to like Leno...but the "reincarnated" Tonight Show sucks too.

Conan simply wasn't a good fit for the Tonight Show. He was better in like a cramped studio doing nerd spazz outs. But he doesn't seem to be great in LA with large stages.

Like, he had his moments, but for all his yapping about how much he adores Johnny Carson, he was missing some fundamental elements that made Carson who he was.

Fallon is definitely too much like a little kid.

I mean, Carson was in the Navy, and while there, he was a fucking boxer. That builds character.

Also, like, I watched some old Carson, and I swear, it made me laugh harder than anything I've seen in current late night. Current late night at best makes me giggle or chuckle slightly, but Carson could make me roar.

Carson was before my time but I agree, nobody could beat him. He's the kind of guy who could make you laugh, kick your ass, or fuck your girlfriend.. that's a rare combination.

Fallon has never been and will never be funny.

Edit: Ferguson is by far the most underrated of any of the bunch. He's got a rapier wit. Ferguson is by far the most intelligent late night host, which probably means a lot of people probably don't get his comedy which is why he's underrated.

yupyup

never liked Fallon, but he grew on me to the point of tolerance and mild entertainment. The Roots have sucked for over a decade, so nothing for me there.

Conan & Richter are the best late night combo I've ever seen. They always make me laugh. Human centipede menorah? They actually take social media seriously? Very interesting they aren't more loved on this forum.

Meanwhile, people actually think Leno isn't a complete cringeworthy buffoon? Amazing. His interviews are so awkward and douchey. He's actually worse than Lopez. WORSE THAN LOPEZ

Letterman is a dinosaur.

Kimmel is pretty good. I honestly don't have high standards when it comes to this shit. The older guys are just plain out of touch and anyone that still likes them is probably equally so.

Richter is not funny.

If this were high school...

Conan is the spaztic geek

Carson is the second-string athlete who's also a ladies man

Letterman is the gonzo guy in the bleachers

Leno is the class president

Fallon is...the hyperactive class clown

Kimmel is the average guy that everyone likes.

Craig Kilbourne is the captain of the swim team

I think the point everyone missed is Fallon will take over for a few months and suck. Meanwhile Leno will start talking about making a comeback, get his 11:35 spot back and ruin late night on NBC again.

Fuck Leno
