It hasn't been a bad summer as far as summers go. Had a really hot week a month or two ago, and it's kind of hot now, but for MD it hasn't been bad. It looks like I'll get through summer with less than two weeks of run time on the AC.

That said, summer still sucks ass, and a shit sandwich with cinnamon on top is still a shit sandwich. I can't wait until real fall, when it's cool and damp, and my skin stings slightly from the coolness. That's bliss.
 
It's been sunny and 90 - 100 every single day for 3 months straight in Oregon. Maybe 1 or 2 days each month where it's cooler. I freaking hate the heat, especially this long. Dang you Columbia Gorge. At least the rest of the year is awesome. Except some freezing in winter for a few months. At least it's never humid here.

I'm selling the house next year and moving closer to Portland where it's more mild (not to close though, freaking non stop clouds and rain in Portland). I can't stay in a place where all I want to do is stay inside for the entire summer and sit in AC. That's ridiculous.
 
I heard Canada geese heading south today. Definitely a sad realization that summer is over. 🙁 It went by too fast, and I barely even saw it. Not looking forward to shoveling snow and scraping car windows once more.

Yeah but Timmins is pretty much the arctic. 😀

Went to the fair today. Rained before the air show but got hot when the sun came out. Still at least another three weeks of summer weather hopefully though it is supposed to get cooler starting tomorrow.
 
Yeah one of these days, I need to move further south. Cost of living is a killer though. Maybe if ever I win the lotto or make a Facebook game that makes me millions. :awe:

I've never said that. I anticipate the coming of summer the same way I anticipate an IRS audit. The best summer is the one that never comes.
 
It's 24C @ 8.10pm here, was much hotter during the day.
Supposed to be similar for the next portion of the week.

Summer is here, fall is not [yet]! :awe:
 
Been fairly cool, and wet, up here through this week anyway. A little sticky for the last few days but still not overly hot. Mid-80's in late August won't raise any eyebrows in the northeast. But yeah, looks like we'll benefit from some Canadian air this week.
 
What's with you freaks who wants the Winter and the cold? Fall is nice but Winter sucks. No sane person likes the cold.
 
The only nice thing about the cold is it's easier to do physical activity without sweating as much and being uncomfortable. I do enjoy summer for being able to go outside without a coat though. We only get a few days where it's 25C or higher, so as much as they are excruciating hot, I enjoy them since I could be shoveling snow instead.

I'm loving the approach of fall. Just went for a walk through "my" apple orchard yesterday, found one tree with apples that were ripe; picked a bushel to make cider with. Would have picked more, but holy shit it's a good year for blackberries - almost down to zero freezer space. And, I'll probably spend another hour or so picking after school tomorrow.

Fall's here, which means summer's over. That's depressing. It's dark by 8pm now -- I miss the still bright out at 9:30pm🙁. Damn, that means it's going to still be dark when I wake up soon.
 
Love Fall/Autumn.

I love the cool, crisp air, the leaves changing color, fresh apples and apple cider, and pumpkin spice coffee. 🙂
Too warm the last couple of days. It's nice and cool outside right now early morning.
