I am in the process of getting new winter tires. I found the Falken Espia EPZ at a very attractive price on discouttiredirect.com. A quick google search reveals no reviews on this tire. It is a fairly new introduction, but I was expecting someone to have used it already :(

The other tire I am considering is the continental winterextremecontact, which has tons of rave reviews at tirerack, and also came out on top in tirerack's own winter tests. While I am personally not a fan of reviews by users (newegg reviews come to mind), trends of good or bad can easily be spotted. The continental tire has the trend of very good.

On the other hand, while the Falken has no reviews, Falken as a company has good reputation, and someone will have to try them to discover if they are great or not.

Comments?

Thanks

Alex

Don't know about those tires but I have Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds and they work quite well on my RWD car. I got rear ended when I outstopped an SUV with all seasons.

Sorry to hear about the rear ended part :(
The wintersports 3D are more on the performance side of the winter tires.

I'll keep them in mind also
