They released Lorenzo Neal too. Going to be interesting to see how LT performs next season.

Now if they can get a qb, they might be able to win a few games this year, especially since they lost their job-hopping coach.

Well they won the coin toss and will get 3rd pick this year. If the #1 QB does not go 1 then the falcons should get him. Just hope he is not a bust.

Well if they don't get Matt Ryan, they are going to have to trade for somebody or else trade down. There really is no other close and I have a feeling Parcell's is going to get him.

LOL, maybe they can get Volek too

I was an LT fan until the Championship game, will be interesting to see Turner in a starting roll now.

I was just wondering, why were you an LT fan until the championship game?

2000+ yards a year, could rush for TD's, catch the ball for TD's and throw for TD's

reminded me abit of Barry when he was playing

Most teams picking high want to trade down. Nobody wants to trade up, except maybe Dallas.

I think rasczak was wondering the reason why you're no longer an LT fan since the AFC championship game. ;)

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Are you one of the few that are basing it on the 30 seconds of footage of him sitting on the bench after his knee was so unstable that he couldn't cut or accelerate?

or him sitting on the bench instead of cheering on the offense, giving words of encouragement, or any support at all.

All he did was sit on the bench with his visor on and sulk in the biggest game of his life.

The MRI said it was nothing serious

Even if he could not play in the game, he could have supported his team

Now that Neal is no longer blocking for LT, he is going to be just another RB. Where ever Neal is lead blocking, that team's running game is great.

LOL, Nitemare, you're basing that on 30 seconds of footage. That was already disproven the week after the game. He was constantly working on the footage and going over it with Turner and Sproles.
It was actally worse that first thought. If it were the regular season he would have been out 6 weeks. (He made it worse on the first carry of the game)

Exactly, when your team MVP and best player is just sitting on bench having as much impact on the game as anyone here on ATOT did, you have to feel a little cheated from it. He should've been more of a leader--otherwise he could've just sat in the locker room. People criticize athletes like Dirk and others for not being vocal enough, but LT seems to get a free pass at it because of the numbers he puts up and being a "class act".

I don't think anyone is going to criticize him for not playing in the game, as only he knows how his knee feels and how it would've affected his performance--and trying to brave through it could've hurt his team immensely, but at the very least take off your damn helmet , don't drape yourself with the blanket on the sideline, and try to at least give your teammates a little bit of encouragement or even just a word or two of advice.

You're considered the best player in the game, don't act like you're a 4th string kicker.

/Yes I'm a Raiders fan ;)

LT could also have been on the field as a decoy for some plays.

I hope they either trade up to get either Long or Dorsey or trade down for more picks. Ryan just doesn't strike me as a #1 QB. He's a mid-to-late first rounder at best.

They're still trying to trade D. Hall for a #1 pick and they have two 2nd round picks so they should have a lot to work with. I'd rather see them use one of their 2nd round picks on someone like Woodson or Ainge than the #3 overall pick on Ryan.

for the first time in my life, i'm going to agree with a raiders fan (yuck!! lol) you're right, he could have done more encouragement/inspiration wise for his team. i just thought this was gonna be another L.T. can't suck it up cuz his knee hurt bash.

/Yes I'm a Chargers fan ;)

p.s btw, i'm excited for M.T. I hope he busts 1,500 yards this year. He's earned what he got. Pretty classy guy in his own right. godd luck michael "burner" turner. (thank goodness he's in the NFC lol)

Just because theres footage of him sulking doesn't mean he was encouraging his teammates.. what do you want him to do? jump up and down for the entire 4 quarters?? take off his helmet and do what? so everyone can see his sad face.. let him be. some people are not vocal and make great leaders (tony dungy..)

its like how the NY media wanted ELi to show emotion when he had that 4-INT game against the Viking.. and look who was the super bowl mvp

on that note, yeah next year will be tough for LT, no Neal (awesome blocker) and no good backup in MT. MT's value just shot up a lot in mock drafts :0
