I bought some of those fake scratch tickets off ebay and gave one to my dad for his birthday.

He scratched it and stayed low keyed handing the ticket to my sister. She cried when she saw the 50k. Little brother was halfway out the door to cash it in when I broke the news.

It was pretty cruel in retrospect.
