Hello
I am thinking about buying a used Asus GTX660 from a dealer that has at least 12 of them . Can anyone suggest ways to ensure that it is original and not fake please ?

It had better be cheap. Mine still does OK, considering how long I have had it. But I wouldn't expect to pay much for one now. I suppose I would ask for pics, especially of any stickers on it.

They are priced at the equivalent of $82 which is half the price of the GTX1050 ( new) . Pictures show they have over 12 of them , all the same ( asus ) with the 4 connections and a 3 month warranty . What they do not have is the DirectCU11 marking on the fan casing ( double fan ) . Still a worthy card from what I have read , better than the new GT 1030 .

Like I said, ask for a pick of the sticker from Asus on the card. Run the numbers or call Asus for confirmation.

The biggest thing that will kill you on that card is the 2 GB of RAM. But on most games that are a few years old it's still a fine card. My son plays CS:GO with it and never complains.

For $80, you can probably get a used GTX 950, which will blow the doors off a 660 and beat a 760 some of the time. Good overclocker, too.

Anyone noticed dealers having multiple stocks of Identical USED ( from photos look like new condition ) GTX video cards ( 10 -15 of each type ) , 560 , 560ti , 660 , 750 ? . Asus , Gigabyte , Galaxy , and Zotac .Looking at Ebay there are not so many available . Seems to be a lot more available now than when I started this thread . If the GPU has the correct numbers on it does that mean it is genuine or is there software than can definitely determine its authenticity ?

Thanks for the vid, I'm going to send that to my friend, that seemed dis-satisfied with the G4560 / GTX950 2GB / 16GB DDR4 rig I built him 8 months ago.

I just sold another one of those cards (I think that I had three of them, wonder what I did with the third one), to a member here a day or two ago. Glad I was in the ballpark on price.
