Recently Asus had just published a news release on their website saying they received Gold Editors Choice award from AnandTech for their X48 P5E3 Premium..

But strangely, there's no such review nor adward given to this product.. Could somebody tell me why?

Link? I don't see it on Asus global or N. American website.

Do Anandtech even give Gold Editors Choice awards?

I don't think award was meant to apply to AT, I think asus was trying to say that it received high praise from AT but sames they have a direct quote from hot hardware I would assume the award came from them. It's a little mis-leading but its better than having like 50 awards like some places put up.

Yes. An example of a board that won the AT Gold award here. I'm trying to figure out if AT ever reviewed the P5E3 Premium WiFi though, because I remember the Deluxe being reviewed, but not that one.

I wonder if some overzealous ASUS PR rep who isn't well versed with his/her own company's products confused the P5E3 Premium with the P5GD2 Premium...

Our preview of the ASUS P5E3 Premium will be published by tomorrow night. Our full review will be in March at the launch of the X48 (X38/X48 roundup). The ASUS P5E3 Premium is an excellent DDR3 board, blending the right balance of performance and features into a high-end platform (for those wanting to move to DDR3, we understand that is a hard pill to swallow still for most, but we graded the board on its own merits regardless of the memory design).

It is our policy to notify the manufacturer's of an Editor's Choice award prior to the article publishing. We did this with ASUS based on the fact that we (most everyone else) expected the X48 to launch in early February. The launch date was changed to March. Unfortunately, the award information from us and others was already published right before the dates changed.

Our feelings about the board have not changed. Kris has tested the board for an additional two weeks and we still came to the same conclusion about it, one that will not change our opinion of the board or affect our decision to grant an editors choice award to it. While not perfect (we want ASUS to change one capacitor and add additional monitoring controls from the Rampage series), the board is one of the best we have seen in the labs in a long time. It's more of a sum of its parts analogy instead of just one item reaching out and grabbing you.
