I took it to mean he tries to correct innacuracies, not to tell people what to believe.
Exactly. Thank you.

It doesn't. Anyone could choose to read or ignore this thread. This is ATOT. There's absolutely nothing wrong with shoving Atheism down people's throats. That's applauded. Don't you dare mention your belief in God, though... then you're free game.
Everyone knows it's ok to bash Christianity on these forums. Don't dare bash any minority or other religion, though.
And to DAGTA, it is because as Christians, we are held at a higher principle by non-Christians. So, if a non-Christian resorted to bashing Christians, that gives us a right to bash them...? NO! Your reasoning is flawed. If someone "sins" by slandering, does it give Christians the right to slander back?
Give me a break  The Bible even warns us that we should expect persecution. Was it a surprise that people hate Christians? Especially hypocritical ones. Dang dude. Give it a rest. If you really want to help out non-believers, then you wouldn't FLAME them.

If that was the case, you would correct it and move on instead of FLAMING on. Look at the plank in your own eye.
If you truly looked at yourself you would realize it was a matter of you having the last say in the matter and nothing else.

You're right. Guess I've let ATOT get to me more than I should. In the past I would quietly post and walk away. Now I seem to vent on other people. 😉
Always a work in progress.

I'm 35 years old. I was raised in a Pentecostal home, at least by my mother. I HATED everything to do with God, religion and the church up until a year and 2 months ago.
Then I surrendered. I totally, and utterly surrendered my life over to a Father I had spent most of it running from. I did this of my own volition, without being pushed or having it shoved down my throat.
You know what, as far and as hard as I ran from HIM, all he had to do was call me when the time was right.
And I answered.
My life is by no means easier, it is if anything harder now. But I thank God that he loved me enough to still want me even after all I had done to dishonor HIM. Thats the God I love and willingly serve.

the OP hasn't answered that one yet.
Science is king. We live by our senses, what we can see, hear, touch, feel. There seems to be no room for anything else.

I'm assuming that it's because of the resurrection. Without Jesus Christ rising from the dead, Christianity doesn't have a leg to stand on. Christianity doesn't purport that Christ was "just another prophet." It proposes that Christ demonstrated supernatural power over death, and that by conquering his own death, he demonstrated the power necessary to conquer death for the rest of us as well.
The belief that Christ rose from the dead is central.

I am truly saddened by the recent rash of faith bashing posts in this forum.
In a world where its every man for himself, do unto others before they do unto you, take what you can and screw the other guy, anger, hatred, distrust and a lack of basic respect for our fellow humas rules.
Science is king. We live by our senses, what we can see, hear, touch, feel. There seems to be no room for anything else.
There is a message of hope right underneath our very noses....it been around since the beginning of time, unchanging, steadfast. For those of you that long for something more, that know deep down inside there has to be a reason for all of this....there is
His name is Jesus Christ. Seek Him out.
For the rest of you that will pounce on this thread in your anger, your hatred and your lack of trust......He loves you as well.

Are you saying that if I take up faith in Jesus I may learn the secret to the resurrection and live forever (or at least a few more years after my untimly death).

Assuming you meant that seriously, no. Having faith in Christ as the resurrected Savior will lead to eternal life in Heaven after your Earthly death.

Clearly we should all be accepting of your gay lifestyle that you have to tell everyone about but you can't be accepting of another person's belief in God.
