Fair use of people's names and titles of works?

I'm currently writing a little story that I might put on amazon if I deem it to be good enough. I refer to a few clasic video games that the main character played, as well as suggesting at one point that the game he is playing in part of the story was designed by a famous game designer. Am I ok to use these actual names in the story (a work of fiction), or do I need to get permissions?
