Question Faint whining noise from motherboard

I've had my board for about a little over a year now and every so often I hear a faint whine coming from my rig. Didn't hear it when I had all the old parts in my X58 board so I'm suspecting it's the board with almost certainty. I'm not sure what exactly would make this noise but is there a way to burn-in whatever the noise is, the coils or capacitors, to make them stop?

I'm not sure the warranty would cover something like this.

It is usually called a coil whine.

High probability it will not.

Silastic Thermal Glue. Will void your warranty. Typically white glue like substance.

Outside of the consumer computer parts industry, better manufacturers will silastic up the coils, so you never hear the whine. But this is an expensive extra step that must be done by hand, and leaves an ugly glob of silastic on the board. With visual appreciation being purchasing factor for computer parts lately, it has become less common.
