My Moms comp was working fine then all of a sudden failed to post. When power is turned on the fans would run but no video output to the monitor. I removed all components except video card ram and cpu but still no post. I tried each of these components in another system and they all worked fine so I RMAed the board and got a replacement. Here is the KICKER the replacement board does the same thing. Also a brand new board the same model as the repalacement does the same thing.

Computer specs:
MSI K7T Pro2-A original board K7T Turbo2 replacement and new board tried
600 MHZ Duron
128MB Muskin PC133 SDRAM
ATI Xpert 99 video
Diagnostic LEDs show the board stops at CPU initialization but I tried the cpu as well as the Ram and video on an Abit KT7-RAID and they all worked fine.

Anybody got any ideas why this would happen?

Are you getting any error beeps/codes? Did you reset the CMOS? Did you try her CPU in another machine? Does her monitor still work? I have RMA'd a mobo and got a bad one for a replacement.

No beep codes. Tried 3 PS's, 2 monitors, memory, video card, put the 600 in a Abit KT7 and it worked put the 750 out of the Abit into the MSI that I RMAed and had no result. I do not have the 750 available to try in the replacement or the new board.
I have not tried clearing the cmos on the replacement or the new board but I will.
I would think the CPU is bad except that I tried it in my brothers system with the Abit board before I RMAed the first MSI.
My next thought was that the replacement is bad but I also ordered a new board before I found out that MSI would replace the other one so I have 2 K7T Turbo2 boards one new and the other as an RMA replacement and niether of these boards will post.
I am loosing hair trying to figure if the CPU crapped out between the time I tested it and when I got the replacements or if both of these boards are toast.

Thanks for the reply.
