Failing optical drive?

Hey,

My system has been BSODing lately with 0x0000009c code. I have noticed my DVD drive acting weird(disk read problem, weird cackling), so I think I'm pointing my finger in the right direction. Problem is, I can't be sure since the errors are not happening all the time. It also happens with various discs, but it does work properly more than half the time.

So, does anyone know of any optical drive diagnosis software?

Now pretty confirmed. Tried same disk in a normal DVD (TV) player, and it runs fine. Tried a different DVD in suspect drive, BSOD again. Then tried another, runs ok. Think this one's a goner🙁.
