Failing memory? (WMD)

Just used Windows Memory Diagnostic and memtestx86 and found problems with my memory. The system is old (K6-2 533 mHz, socket 7, 196 MB in 3 DIMMS). I noticed that one bit in particular of any test long word (i.e. ffffffff) would change from a 1 to a 0. So the ffffffff would change to ffffbfff which means that the fifth nibble changed from 1111 (=f) to 1011 (=b). Another example was 0e7aeacb changed to 0e7aaacb. So its still the fifth nibble that is decreased by 4 through changing the bit that represents 4(e=1110, a=1010). I will post whatever other details are needed. I hope someone has seen this type of problem and can help...

Thanks!

Windows' of Mass Destruction?

Edit: Seriously, that problem could be possibly caused by overclocking/overheating, I had a similar thing happen to me, although that was a problem with repeatable single-bit errors with the IDE interface, when I overclocked the FSB to 75Mhz. If you are overclocking, drop it down to stock clocks and test it again. But if it still fails that way, you may have a memory cell/chip going out on you, and the DIMM will need to be replaced. I would try moving the DIMM(s) between different slots first though.
