One of the two fans on my card is starting to fail. Both fans will spin at start up, but only the front fan (closest to output connectors) will spin up when under heavy load. Messing with afterburner and setting a manual fan curve and also setting the fan to 100% at all times makes no difference. If I give the fan a manual spin with my finger it will continue to spin if it's supposed to, but the moment it idles it fails to start back up again.

How does MSI GPU warranty's deal with last-generation graphics cards? Do they keep stock of old cards, give you an "equivalent current-gen card," or a pro-rated amount of money to purchase a new one?

AIBs tend not to keep stock of old stuff for warranty, they either give you an equivalent SKU of the newer gen, a discount for an upgrade or if they are really crap, they give you the current market worth of your card. -_-

Email them and good luck!

Dual fans + fans that turn off = more people that need new cards sooner = more card sales
