Failed LiteOn Flash...how to recover?

I've got a LiteOn iHas124 SATA that failed midway using LiteOn's own patcher.

Is there anyway to reverse the brickage?
 
Just to note.
Binflash will only work with Lite-On optical drives with an NEC chipset, it won't work on drives with MTK chipsets.
