failed bios flash on a dell 7000 insp notebook

I have a dell insp 7000 note book that some one screwed up a bio flash on , the power went it , i got

it for free and really want to try to fix it before i use the 14 inch lcd for my car computer, does

any one know how this can be done? i heard somewhere that i could remove the bios chip and then hot

swap it with a working bios chip on a another board and flash it , would that work? any one have any

ideas?

you guys have never failed me before thanks for help.

Yeah, hot swapping might work. Try it. Open up the lappy, look for the BIOS chip. Might be easier to order a new one. Also, contact support and pretend you are the original owner to get support (if it aint too old, maybe even if it is for sympathy). "Oh, I lost all the papers and stuff when I moved."
