FAHMon screwup

VirtualLarry

As many of you know, I built a quad-GPU crunching rig with four 9600GSOs. Well, one burned out due to excessive temps.

So I was running with the remaining three cards (with the top card removed), and running the shortcuts for GPU1-GPU3, with GPU4 being unused.

FAHMon showed the top three (GPU1-GPU3) with green blocks, and GPU4 with a red block.

Well, today, for some bizarre reason, FAHMon is showing green blocks for all of my GPUs, with the concommitant increase in PPD from four GPUs. Bizarre.

Oops, it must have known I was writing about it. Now it turned yellow. But it's still adding up into my PPD.

Edit: Finally, the box for GPU4 turned red, and it indicates "hung". Now my PPD are back to normal. I wonder why in the world it detected otherwise.

How does the log for the dead GPU end? If it doesn't clearly say that it was shutdown, and simply froze at a certain % progress, FAHMon has no way to know.
