Yes, Virginia, there is indeed a FaH team. It did seem that we'd faded into the woodwork, but in fact, the percentage of folders has increased from last week. Right now we have 65 active folders out of 191 ( a whopping 34%, which is about average for most teams.Which concerns me as I know AnandTecher's aren't just your average joe's... ). Glad to see that some have joined and/or started folding again. Welcome to the Fold!!

On the down side, I've lost one of my herd, and possibly a 2nd one will be going within the month :( ....and just as I was clawing my way back up into single digits again! :eek: Upgrades are planned, just waiting for the serial hd's and mobo's to make the scene; no sense doing it before then. ;) I think one of the 2400XP's ought to do it :) I wonder how much faster that will be compared to my 1600XP? Only time will tell. My wife will inherit this one, her's will replace the one I'm losing...life will be good again, yeah baby! Now if only lady luck will smile my way and give me those winning lottery numbers...

Just recently joined TA F@H. Still in the process of converting some machines over. Once I get that done, my production should increase rather dramatically :D

<-- Is back to Folding@Home like promised :eek:

My current setup is:

- 1 Athlon XP 2100+ that sits all day playing DVD's;
- 1 Athlon XP 1900+ (the main rig in my sig);
- 1 Pentium III 733 (that is only used as a http proxy)

I cannot use my Thunderbird 1.33 coz I haven't got a way to connect him to the Internet :|

Folding with a single 800MHz Duron system here (o/c to ~900MHz), and going to add a 500MHz Celeron shortly. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be getting any upgrades until next year. Unless I win one of those Athlon XPs from AMD's XPP2 (sp?) event. ;)

Yeehaa!! I started folding a few months ago when Rusty put forth the call for TA to break into the top 20! Haven't stopped yet. I Fold and I Search, and I do well on both teams; one rig each (though to be honest, I've been SETI for a few years now, starting with my P166 (and how many spare cycles did THEY have?!?) ). I've been sooo close to breaking into the top 40 in F@H grrrrrr!!!! Quit passing me, dammit!!! Hehe, jk; good to see more rigs working for the TeAm!!! As for SETI, I'm spitting out 6-7 WU's a day and looking for time to get a 'far-a-way' rig back online. Once that happens, I have another 'spare' to put onto F@H. I'm trying, peeps! Limited resources and all, I'm STILL ALMOST IN THE TOP 40. Bet you can't catch up!!?!

^^^ that's the spirit! added F@H to two more rigs tonight. Now that I'm working - I'll probably get the case I want to bring my 1g duron back online :)

An Athlon XP may be nearer in my future than I'd originally thought; the price is so reasonable on that AXP1600+ at newegg that I can hardly resist. ;) :p

Hmm, Opteron is looking good...I may end up waiting anyway. But I must really get serious about putting aside some more money if I want a nice Opteron system. :p
