FaH benchmarks

Okay all, here's some of what I've done so far ( I'll have to hook up the other hd to get the rest of the stats, sorry), but it gives us a start.

This is the bb5_build_extORC protein.

1600xp @ 1900:
2h,33m,32s
2h,24m,43s
2h,9m,56s
2h,16m,37s

gives ave of: 2h,21m,7s

Tb@866:

4h,33m,10s
4h,44m,51s

gives ave of: 4h,39m,0s

This is not quite a benchmark but you can get the Idea. (From another forum) 🙂

"I've got a nice big Protein Ag29aNat folding on the P4 @2.25 and a Tbird 1.2@1.42
The P4 takes 5.06m longer per frame. "

"That's an improvement on my experience. My P4 1.7 @ 2006 "Willy" does a ProteinA in 17.02 min/frame while the XP1800+ @ 1672 does it in 8.88 min/frame. Duron 1.2 @ 1350 does it in 11.09 mins/frame. The AMD FPU is definitely superior."

So as far as Folding, a Duron @1350 by far outfolds the P4 @ 2000. But we all knew this anyway didn't we? 🙂

I've just got the new 2.19 client which shows frame times, so hopefully I'll have some benchmarks for an 800MHz Duron processor (overclocked to 900MHz) with SDR RAM later. 😉
As of right now, it looks like about 3 mins/frame, which predicts about 5 hours for this WU (bba5_build_ext).

Lets take a quick check to see what monitors everyone is running.

I am currently running KDFold v3.0

Also, which Protiens are most people folding these days? It seems that I have folded protienAnat and protienAg29Nat for the past 2 weeks or so consistently. I wonder how they divide protiens up?

Running the newest KDFold.

Seems most of my proteins lately have been either some form of proteinA or bba5_build_ext

Help! I'm running version 2.19 on an XP 1700+ with winXP, getting 10 minutes between frames! I forget what I used to get, but it was something like a few minutes at most. Any thoughts on what's killing me? My standings are plummeting.

Thanks for any help.

PS - It looks like I'm working on protein Ag29a.

<< PS - It looks like I'm working on protein Ag29a. >>

There's your problem right there. 10min a frame isn't bad at all for proteinA and its variants.

My 1.2 Celeron does them in 15-17min (per frame)

Thanks for the explanation - I was getting worried that something had fried in my box. Now for the shallow question: Will my score bump up accordingly when this WU posts? I'm all for altruism, goodwill towards man and the betterment of science, but Nagger is right on my @ss! I want my points!

when www.statsman.org is up it's pretty easy to tell how many points you get for a wu, but it's down now so I can't check. I'm not positive, but you should get more points for doing the longer wu.

<< but you should get more points for doing the longer wu >>

You will get points for your longer WU. Notice on the Team AnandTech stats page, there are people who have fewer WUs, and they have a higher score than people with more WUs.
These numbers will give you an example...
Position, Username, Score, WUs
17 gandrews35 132.99 70
18 JoshLiechty 109.27 37
19 tim 108.6 59
20 bartman 82.6 93

bravesfan258, did you just join us, or do you have a different nic in FaH?? Either way, I'm glad you're folding with AnandTech!🙂

(asking as I'm paranoid about missing new members joining the TeAm )

who? what? where? how? why?

I thought I told that I was going to switch off F@H for a couple of weeks to concentrate on ECCp-109...

After it ends I'll switch all of my fleet to F@H...

I'm sorry but I really want to grab 3rd place finish in the ECCp-109 project...
