did anyone else ever have to "verify" their fafsa? i sent mine in way ahead of time and they finally replied back that i have been picked to be verified. basically i have to send them a copy of my IRS forms AND my W-2 forms along with my parents. all of that stuff is back in oklahoma (i'm in california) cuz i had my parents do them for me. so now i have to wait for them to send it back to me. i guess it's my fault for not making copies for myself but i honestly didn't think i woudl need them again. i also have to fill out this form telling them exactly how much i pay for food, bills, rent, insurance, etc etc etc...along with all of my parents info! i hate fafsa!!! they don't even give me that much money for my $24,000 freaking out of state tuition. 90% of it is loans, gosh do i really need to be verified for a bunch of loans?!?! BLAH!!!!!!!! this week sucks.

I'm not surprised. That has never happened to me and I'm a financial aid crack baby. Usually my mom gives me her info over the phone and I sign her name. My parents are divorced so I don't include my dad's stuff.

Lol I havent filled my fafsa out yet and I didnt make copies of my or my dads irs forms this year. Oops.

That happened to me. Luckily I was going to school in the same city where my parents were so it wasn't too big a deal. Just sent it in and that was it.
