I've been looking into getting an ND filter for an upcoming trip to the Caribbean, and stumbled upon the Fader ND, made by Light Craft Workshop. The standard model is a 2x-8x variable ND and costs only around $100 for the 77mm size. Light Craft workshop also sells multicoated 77mm slim CPL filters for around $50, which is a bargain compared to the $100+ that a B&W MRC costs.
I tried looking for some reviews and apparently the Fader ND is said to be just as good as the much more expensive Singh-Ray variable ND filter. Has anyone here tried one, and if so, how are they?
