faded prints coming out of a new cartridge.

My wife and I were printing out our baby shower invitations, and they were coming out perfectly until.....silly me took one of the finished prints out and it got caught between the ink cartridges and the side of the printer as it was printing. The printer came to a halt, the jammed printer error popped up on the screen and I bent one of the invitations.

Now the printer prints as if the cartridges need to be cleaned, faded and lines through the print job.

I have:

1. fully cleaned them twice with the 3 step hp cleaning process. prime etc..

2. aligned the cartridges

3. reseated the cartridges and repeat steps 1 and 2

It is unlikely that the cartridges ran out at exactly the same time I f'd it up. It was printing perfectly before.

Any clues?

Thanks,

Well, I would say it's relatively limited things it could be. I would say bad cartridge or the printer it's self is messed up physically.

I would buy another cartridge or see if you can return that one, might not be able to but might be worth a try.

You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the software but I doubt that would cause faded print.
