No matter what DC project you are on, the FaD team needs your support for the next two weeks to crank out as many jobs (and points) as possible.

I'm hoping that we can put out a MAXIMUM effort to not only hold 4th and prevent Team Ukraine from passing us but also take 3rd place from Team Deep Thought (Deep Thought will probably drop to 5th within 2 week if our effort succeeds).

I am in the process of ramping production up but I cannot do it alone.

Anyone with a spare pc ... consider installing FaD and running it for Team 2039.

Lets see how much we can throw into the effort and keep TeAM crunching forwards rather than dropping back.

Keep em' Crunching !!! and RECRUIT more members/computers for FaD!!!!

it is official... we have lost 4'th to Ukraine :( The not only passed us, the blew past us and are now 300,000 Points ahead of us and outproducing us by approx. 250,000 Points per day.

I have been "finding" PCs lately and will continue my search for more cold and lonely CPUs :D

give credit to Ukraine, they really brought the production on our asses. i just found a few computers here in the boneyard at work that will be brough onboard to offer a small amount of help. we dont necessarily need new blood, we need those who are inactive to become active again....

Sorry to hear about your position loss :(.

I will replie to your request (you deserve an answer) ,I hope that I don't upset you or any other TA FaD member by my replie.
FaD is a good project

Re TaBoo
Though I don't control the TaBoo members I do 'guide & suggest' what we do.
TaBoo was intially set up to help S@H1 members reach particular milestones.
I'm sorry but I'm going to suggest that TaBoo does not switch its power to other projects yet (we have discussed it for future possibilities I believe) ,that doesn't stop individuals going ahead & doing it of course.

Why? because S@H1 is in its closing stages & we need to keep TA ahead of BBR.
Yes we have a healthy lead atm (partially thanks to a temporary boost by Enterprise aka 'deathstar') but BBR could whittle it down again & with no finish date yet & possibilities of BBR holding off large accounts I wouldn't want to be a participant of TA losing to BBR after 3+yrs (?) of racing with them.
You see I believe that S@H1 has maybe a couple of months left to run (maybe a little more?) ,so it would be a darn shame to lose to them in the final months of a project that's been running for 5 1/2 yrs.
After that I think you'll see a lot of power spreading out from the S@H1 team to many other projects ,S@H2 won't be inheriting all the power from S@H1.

A few other points ,I don't see that just a few weeks boost will do much for TA FaD in the longer run anyway? ( aside from some extra points of course;)).Or are you trying to hit No3 for just a short time for now? (which would be fair enough:))
TA S@H1 made a similar request some months ago with no mass switching occuring ,& we offered power in return after S@H 1 finished too. (though I think with no 'end date' this put people off)

I don't mean to discourage you ,in fact I wish you well & I may join you myself after S@H1 ends (though I've promised to help DPAD already) ,but for now I'm sticking with S@H1.

Good luck:)

I finally decided to try FaD again, and I installed the new version, but I'm getting error "CGIREG (10539) Failure to reach all CGI servers" when I try to "Register".

Any ideas?

I had previously tried FaD, but pushed the "Offline" button and couldn't get it to forget about it. I thought I'd gotten rid of that version completely, and it seems to be more On-Line now, but it did remember all the other settings I had previously set.

I believe you can ignore that error upon initial installation and setup. I always get an error when I install but am not sure of the exact text.

I would reccomend you just verify in Setup that everything is as you wish and save one more time. That has always worked for me.

Hello guys :) What's up?

Sorry for beating you ;) Nothing personal, you know. Hope you'll get close to us again - it's fun to compete!

BTW, the Japan guys have gone crazy - they'll smack both you and us if they continue to output like they do now...

So... for any reason... WAKE UP AND CRUUUUUUNCH!!! :D

Good luck!

I think I got the same error message too quite a few times..and for the first couple days I had no idea if it was even working.

But I guess now all is well. Follow Ross' advice and be sure your setup is saved correctly.

Is this another project that sucks on P4s compared to XP chips? I've got the client running on a P4 1.8 and an XP 2100 Palamino not OCed... the XP seems to be chewing through the work faster, although I'm sure one work unit is hardly a basis for any conclusions...

I believe it is not biased to either AMD or Intel.

Different proteins take different amounts of time to complete. It ranges from hours to days. It also depends upon hits, I believe.

Hi Geoff
The time on work unit will be different for each one depending on the number of hits the work unit gets.

Okay! I'll let them crunch! :) Are stats accumulated by the registered email address or by the nickname used when setting up a new node?
