I've just "retired" 30 PIII 550's and 2 PIII 450's. They only crunch 24x2 (2 days a week) reliably and just weren't completing jobs before the query finished and closed. I don't believe it is any big loss to the horde since they only elicited a CPU Rating in the 30-45 range.
I don't expect to see any large impact to my production as a result of this move but it just makes sense to idle slow computers.
On the other hand, how many folks can go out and remove 32 computers from a DC project and "not be concerned" about the impact.
I hope I don't sound too "cavalier" although some might take it that way. That is not my intent.
