FaD Stats - Nov 09, 2004

Sorry I've kind of dropped out but FaD just stopped working all of a sudden for me. The program comes up on my computer (which acts as a server to the larger boxes) but it doesn't do a thing. Any ideas? I'd like to get crunching again...

I do not personally have any experience running a server, but I know several other members on the TeAm do. The other alternative would be to check out http://forum.find-a-drug.org.uk

What version are you running? If you running beta you should at 1.24g, otherwise I think 1.24c is the non-beta version.

The build I downloaded from the site 4 days ago was 1.25C dated Oct-05-04... is that not the latest non-beta version?

I was wrong, it appears that 1.24c is the non-beta build.

Hmm, it looks like it was the 1.25c version that I have had since the beginning of the month is the problem. The server.exe application only manages to stay open for a few seconds before it disappears. Therefore, it can't d/l or u/l any jobs. And I have one with over 1330 hits just sitting here! Well, I'll keep working and if I'm not too busy tomorrow I'll hunt around or make a post on the FaD support forum. I'll keep you posted!

Definitely get 1.25g. And if it keeps giving you problems, just reinstall program over existing. I've had to do that on a few systems when the exact same thing happened.

no luck with 1.25g...I just made a post on the support forum so hopefully someone will know what's going on 🙂 And I just got a new dual 3.4Ghz Xeon 32/64 that's just waiting to crunch, arghhh!
