Thanks Ross! I had to reformat my main rig and lost a couple points on a good sized job there, and also have some ginormous jobs that my computers are still working on, so hopefully they'll pull in a ton of points.

I hear ya about the main rig loss... I went away for the weekend and came back to find I lost the HD on one of my best crunchers. I have RMA'd the drive and awaiting a replacement 🙁

happened to me on 2 computers in the past 2 weeks 🙁 i think the heat of the summer is finally starting to get too much for my poor boxes. having to run only part of the day in order to hopefully avoid too much heat in my place!

It wasn't a painful loss like yours, as it was time to Windows to get its twice yearly reformat and I just forgot to export the job for later. But I did get a new Radeon 9600XT and another 512 MB of RAM installed and an unused floppy drive removed.

But it looks like the new job on the main rig is at about ~300,000 seconds or so at an average of 196 CPU rating, so I'm kind of hoping that finishes up in the next couple of days. 😀

Candles r US is another alter ego ... my sister-in-law in Montana ... yet another remote

You folks with your "main rig". 😉

I don't think I could put a handle to a computer as a "main" rig.

Let me see ... a household of 2 (my lovely bride and I) and she is out of the country about 40% of the time ...

At least a baker's dozen computers here ... most of them very capable and over 2 GHz. Be very difficult to call any one of them my "main" rig.

Well, with 2 monitors, real graphics card, oodles of memory, and a nice keyboard/mouse, I'd say this is my main rig. The other one just servers as a Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy gaming server (as well as decent FaD cruncher) for my clan. Now if I could just get all my friends crunching under my name rather than just shrugging me off when I suggest they at least install FaD under their own name, I'd be good to go!
