Thanks for the stats Ross ...

I am making slow progress towards recovery.

I have terminated over half of the hordes however, it does take some time for them to "quit". Many have run until a reboot was necessary but that population will diminish remarkably over the next few weeks.

I am still attempting to contribute as much as is possible.

Back to the doctors next week to see what the future holds. Staph is common on the surface of the skin ... but once it takes hold underneath the surface, seems to be diffucult to erradicate.

Mondobyte or Silverthorne, just curious how many machines either of you have working for FaD. I am impressed with the amount of points you can generate. And I need to know what I am up against, if you do not mind telling. 🙂

I have about 12 running and 3 of them are P4 HT machines. I just upgraded my P4 2.6c to a 3.0c and will have the old 2.6 running shortly.

Sorry but all of my machines are now back on seti. I just can't stand seeing us behind BBR. Besides it would be kinda cool if the Rebel Alliance can hit 300k in seti before it ends.

Finally got time to get the quad p3-550 back up and running(with 4 threads of FaD)... and the DSL modem/router died. 🙁

Glad your quad is back, cause mine is down for a rebuild :frown:

Just added a P4 something or another... dunno the details, but it's fairly recent. How do I check if HT can be turned on? It's a Dell...

Geoff

ahh.. doesn't look like I can... HT started with the 3.06GHz from what I can see... I just fired up a 1.8GHz machine and a 2.8 GHz machine 🙂

Check the BIOS.

HT is available on both 533 and 800 MHz FSB and I know it is on chips as low as 2.4 but I suspect it was also on slower ones.

Cool! Unfortunately, there's nothing I can see in the BIOS that jumps out and says "Turn On Hyperthreading", so I guess I'm out of luck on these two! 🙂

Now... all this time, the dual XP1800+ stats server has been dedicated to just running stats... I wonder.... 😛
