Not a lot of fanfare in this project, but a decent and worthy project none-the-less.

Some quick question guys. Can I use an offline cache for this project. I have basic crunchers that at the moment aren't connected to the internet. Would I be able to d/l a big cache to work on, & just dump the results when I am able to connect?

Also, does everyone generally stick to the latest build, or is their a certain one that users prefer. I know in seti, the screensaver version is considerably slower, is the ss version the only program available to run this project?

Still trying to absorb all the necessary info. Thanks for your help.

Great thing about this project is YES you can do it offline. It automatically downloads a batch of jobs based on your settings and can be set to upload at a specific time or manually. You can make one machine the master queue and have all others point to it thereby not having to install client on each. You can export completed jobs and transfer via floppy of CD to another machine connected to internet. The possibilities are endless. Version 1.21L has been out since last June and seems very stable. They are Beta testing 1.23b, but I'm not one of the testers, so I can't tell you much about it. Nor do I run the screensaver; I just let it crunch in background.
