I've been crunching FaD for nearly a year now. I've installed the software on several different computers, as well as more than once on a few of them. Anyways, I'm currently on a relative's computer and I have the software installed. I have all the settings I want selected on the Setup Panel but when I click on the "Register" button, I get the following error message: "[CGIREG] (10539) Failure to reach all cgi servers." I already tried downloading the software from their site and reinstalling it, but I still get the same error. Any ideas?

Mike

edit

on mine it usually takes less than 10 clicks on the save button

I'm still clicking away hoping the settings go through somehow... I know there's been times when I had to click on the "Register/Save" button a few times before it goes through, but never this many times. *continues clicking away*

I've been installing the client on a lot more PC's lately and I sometimes have the same problem. Seems to be independent of OS or anything else, just a software bug. One machine worked after a reboot.

Good Luck!

Nope, rebooting didn't help... I get the feeling that a file is missing or corrupt. Just for the heck of it, I tried opening loader.exe on it's on and got a different error message: "(400) Setup not complete - isetup.dat is missing." Could the settings not be going through because this file is missing? Or is this file missing because it isn't created yet and will be created once the registration goes through?

Thanks for that link, but I already tried those... Clicking multiple times. Reinstalling. Rebooting. Reinstalling again... I'm already pass 3 dozen clicks now. x.x
And the contents of the server.log file isn't looking too good either...

Alright. Problem solved... http://www.find-a-drug.org.uk/phpbb2/vi...85&highlight=failure+reach+cgi+servers
Did some searching on FaD forums and found that link, which seemed to point out that FaD uses IE to get connected. Since this is a new computer, I didn't configure IE yet and never planned to (I'm using firefox right now). So I configured IE and after a few more clicks, this computer is up and cruching for FaD. *mutters* Stupid IE.

Edit: Thanks for posting that there Wolfsraider. Hopefully, that'll help whoever attempts to take the same route I did. I registered for the FaD forums shortly after I started FaD. I just haven't made a post there yet. lol
Edit2: Freewolf, I mean. Sorry.

SWEET! Interesting that IE has to be "setup" on the windows install!
