I am likely to abandon FaD early in December and embrace another DC project ... once 7th is secure from any challengers ....

Thanks for the stats, Mondo.

Based on current production, I was planning to break into the top 200 overall by the end of the year. From the looks of things, I should be able to get to around #220 before the project closes down. Not quite the goal I was looking for, but it should definitely be interesting to see what kind of difference we can make in other projects once we find a new home. :)

My suspicion is that few, if any, queries will be available for the week or two before close.

... and just when I got everything working so smoothly through active directory! (those lessons will probably translate into other projects though ) :D

Thanks for stats.

EDIT:

My XP 3200 is faster than my 3100 Sempron.

XP 3200 is 2200 mhz 512 cache
3100 Sempron is 1800 mhz 256 L2 cache

Is it the clock speed?

:)

I have shut all know installs down :(

I had been quesitoning my commitment to FaD and the related hydro bills recently and this has pushed me over the edge.

My production should be zero from here on, so if I am in your sights... smoke em if you got em and enjoy the ride.

When I was in Engineering we used to chant "Arts Suck Drink Beer"... I am feeling like "FaD Sucks Drink "

sorry to hear that Ross.
Looks like most of the RA will be moving to Folding At Home. Althought there is still a few folks I haven't heard back from yet.

I feel the same way, my main rig was shut off fad today :( I was going to add a 2800+, but oh well I need to save on utils anyway. I think I am done with dc altogether. I was under the impression that FAD would be around for a long, long time! Goodbye old friend.

Thanx for all of the kind words and support. I am not leaving forever, just need to step back for a little bit. I will lurk and see which project(s) people gravitate to and maybe follow the AT Herd with a machine or two.
