Welcome episodic and congrats to all you high number posters.
I've been gone about a week and it seems my production has been quite off, I'm digging around for stuck units and think I may just get the #1 title tomorrow. 😀

I was wondering where your production went. I'm looking forward to seeing that dump! 🙂

Ditto....I was getting worried! Glad to hear your back and OK! 😀

Nice! That puts you back to almost 2x my total point score again. 😀

I'm glad to see you didn't lose all of that production potential while you were gone! (I have a personal goal to stay within 1/2 of your total points, so I've been watching your production closely. 😉)

Here is my report on my switch from WinXP to SuSE pro8.2(Linux)

Sound like a heck of a different to me. What does that mean points wise?

30 points an hour differance, so to put this in perspective from the time its been runnig FAD.............84,240 points

I may switch the dualie over and see what difference linux makes on it as well.

win xp gives a 89 rating on this one 4x ie 80 for each processor... logical or real.

I have one onboard thats got 274 hits at 83%

editDAMN thats a huge difference

If we can get our #1 buddy Mondobyte to tell us the best distro for FAD, it would be really nice. Why run windows on machines we use to just crunch?

sounds like I'm going to have to break down and try to learn linux after all.
I could put it on around 15 or 16 machines. I think that could add up to a pretty good amount of points.
