What's that sound? That's the sound of the engines being kicked up a notch... 1x 1900+ is online, 1x 1800+ is spinning up, and 1x 2000+ is in the hanger getting refitted! That C-5 off in the distance is bringing in the pair of P4-2.0G... ETA... Monday! 😛

Nice Geoffs, how many does that make now?

Errr.... let's see... 3 at home... 8 (one is a duallie) in my cubicle (I'll take a pic one day), one duallie in the server room (that's the stats server), 5 in an empty cubicle, 2 in another empty cubicle, 2 in yet another empty cubicle... the two inbound Dell P4s will be for home, replacing two of the bigger (and louder) machines which will come back here. 🙂 None of the hardware is extravagant... I think the higest CPU in the mix is an XP2100+, or the Duron 1600... dunno which is faster... seems like the XP is... the duallies are 1800 and 1900 respectively. For work, I had to set up my own lan because I was hogging too many IP addresses on the corporate lan, so I set up a router and it's the only one that gets a corporate IP 🙂

In my cube is also a 2-port kvm, a 12-port hub, a 4-port router and a 5-port switch... as I'm running out of opportunities to easily string a new location from an existing one by wiring a switch or hub in a new empty cubicle, I may have to go wireless soon! There's an 8-port switch in the cube with 5 PCs, and a 5-port switch in one of the cubes with a pair of PCs 🙂

Way to go Geoffs, I just got a xp 2000 running the other day and got a p4 2.6c running this afternoon. 🙂

My network admin said that as long as he can't see it (the broadcast) and it's locked down, he's fine with it 🙂 My lan is looked up to the corp lan only in that it can hit the internet... can't see any volumes, shares, nothing, so security is not that big a deal on my little lan 🙂

Cool, sounds like you have a real nice admin.

Thanks for the stats FreeWolf.

I believe, above a certain number of points (perhaps 10-20M), milestones should be every 250K or 500K

Currently, it is probable that I will never have a day when I do not cross a milestone. I'd like to see days when others shine without my presence.

Thanks

mondo

Wow thats a great set you got there Geoffs

man I may have to fire up a p3 600 lol (I havent had a lot of play time or I would have had this one running already)

Thanks for the info Geoffs

Agreed... I plan on listing the milestones in the same manner as certificates are issued, but also recognize milestones below the first 1M points.
