With two of the TeAm's big hitters on the FaD TeAm going through some difficult times, the rest of us need to suck up the difference and not let Ukraine pull away from us! We're currently producing well below our 30-day average (400k-pts/day compared to 600k-pts/day) and have fallen from the 3rd top producing team to 8th as of yesterday. While none of the teams below us that are outproducing us are short-term threats, momentum is a hard thing to stop and we all know what happens when a lower team on the ladder smells blood in the water! Ukraine is pulling away from us at a rate of around 30k-pts/day... we need to nip that in the bud NOW and start reeling them back in! Become the hunters instead of the hunted! Let's do it guys! Find that PC that's not doing anything useful and put it to work! Put those spare parts together and get a new machine on the farm! Let's take a run at Ukraine and show then what TA can do! w00t!

I can switch the rest of my crunchers from D2OL. Can someone can tell me how to setup FaD on my network? Do I have to install FaD on every PC, or can it run off the Think sever on my main PC? The FAQ at the site isn't very good on this subject.

Oh, if someone has a PSU and a harddrive I could put my mobile AXP @ 2.6GHz back on line. ;)

I do not believe there is a 64 bit specific build of FaD. Will the 32 bit version run on 64 bit WinXP... that is a good question I can not answer but would love to know the answer to. I have a dual Opteron which I will be looking to migrate to 64 bit WinXP when it becomes available and just assumed FaD would run on it.

I just set this up on about 12 comps and did the network install, it was very easy. Try here for some help.

If you are using Windows version, right click icon in system tray and chose setup, go to General tab and enter 2039 in the Team Number and hit save.

If you are using *nix... someone else please! I seem to recall there being a switch like -team 2039 or something like that.

12 computers!!! Excellent going! That should challenge for a top 3 spot on the TeAm.

Very nice! I'd better pump it up a bit myself or there'll be tiremarks up my back soon! :)

Thanks, just threw my 2.0ghz p4 machine on that full time. And my AMD 3200+ part time (ie. not gaming).
