FAD cruncher down

I woke this morning to one of the FAD crunchers down and could not get it to a full boot and not even in to safe mode. It makes an attempt to boot and then BSOD's, it's very quick so I had to take a picture of the screen, it says something about not being able to load the hive. Any thoughts on this before I reinstall? I tried "fixmbr" but it did nothing to help.

It's an AMD xp 2000 on Win XP Pro.

I should mention that this is just a cruncher in the basement, it does nothing but FAD, so a reinstall is not that big of a deal. The first time I put the win xp cd in it did not give me the option to repair but on the second attempt it did so we will see if it will repair it.

Tried to do a repair again with the win cd but it would not take so after work tonight I will reinstall.

Better run a full diagnostic on the hard drive. If a registry hive was corrupted and the PC is not really used, it could be developing some "issues". Make sure you do a full surface (sector) scan.

Good Luck!

I'm thinking I may have some type of hardware failure, I tried to format two HDD's to no avail. I'll try a third drive tomorrow.

If that don't work try another stick of ram.

Just follow the Bees and you will find the Hive ...

Just found an easy fix for this cruncher, it's called going to newegg and buying a asus p4c800e deluxe and a P4 2.8c. LOL

I wasn't joking guys, just got it today and will try to get it up and running Friday.
