Hi Team,
Raising the bar here --Upping the ante here
I replaced a PSU in an old computer and brought a Pentium III 800 online Friday ...
Today ... I have a new build with an XP2200 (oc'd, of course) on which I am loading Windows XP Professional as I am typing.
I figure to bring it online within a few hours and get it crunching.
Next will follow a series of moves:
I will retire a Pentium III mobo/cpu/ram and replace it with an XP2200 mobo/cpu/ram.
I will then retire yet another Pentium III 600 mobo/cpu/ram and replace it with a dual Pentium III 850 mobo/cpu/ram
In turn, this will make room for an XP3000 mobo/cpu/ram in the case from which the dual 850 started.
Net loss - 2xPIII/600
Net gain - XP2200 & XP3000 & PIII 800
I figure this is a good gain.
BTW ... anyone interested in a Pentium III (slot) 600/mobo/256MB RAM combo?
keep'em crunching
