Another SETI convert! 😀 This FaD TeAm is only going to get better and better as all us SETIheads join up. 🙂

Bring some more machines over to FaD, SETI is nearly dead! You'll like this project better than SETI, the stats are just great. It's also easier to power your way up thru the rankings. I forgot what it was like to move up at a fast clip. Once you get so far in SETI it's REALLY hard to move up anymore. FaD is a GREAT project! :thumbsup:
 
Just breated life back into an XP2000 that was rebooting spontaneously a couple of weeks ago... removed the mongo hs/fan on it, put some goop on the core, put a different hs/fan on it and now it seems to be happy 🙂 I think I've got parts left for 2 more boxes.. .and Duron 1600 and an XP1700... gotta find them! 😛

... and then I'm tapped out and am going to spend some time on the stats 'backup' server, which will actually replace the current server... the 'backup' is a dual XP1900 (current is a dual 1800), I'll use the 3x 256Mb ECC 2100 in the current server. I picked up an Adaptec SCSI RAID card and am eyeing a bunch of 18g drives in the FS/FT thread at the moment (current machine has a RAID 5 array of 4x 9g drives). In addition, the 'backup' server is running Win2K Server (current is running Win2K Pro) and the most recent Apache, PHP and mySQL software... slowly configuring it :roll:

Are you putting MySQL 5 and PHP 5 on it?
 
I like the SimpleXML functions in PHP5, makes working with the BOINC data easier. Too bad my current hosting does not support it yet. 🙁

Just wondering if my suggestions about stats a few days ago made any sense or did I seem to be inappropriate??

I, too, get "bored" with me doing the TOP DAWG dance nearly every day.
