Not to thread crap but I recommend staying away from the P200 unless you get it at a really low price.
It's a nice big Trinitron screen but the 0.31 dot pitch makes everything above 1024x768 look blurry.
It might do 1600x1200 but you won't be able to read the text. I know. I had one on my RS6000
workstation at the office.
Generally, the IBM P-series monitors (P70, P201, P202, P260, etc) are very very nice monitors. The P200 is kind
of the oddball. If you can get a good price on the P201, go for it. It's a nice monitor that handles 1600x1200
pretty well. The P202 is kind of iffy. Beautiful display but my workgroup had 3 (out of 6) of these guys fail
within a year. Might have just been a bad batch. The P260 is a great flat screen. Amazing picture. Screen size appears
a little smaller than the P202 but the sharpness beats the P202 hands-down. In fact, when I swapped my P202 for
the P260 I wasn't happy at first because the screen appeared "too sharp."
Nice thing about the P202 and P260 (I've only used a P70 sporatically so I'm not terribly familiar with those) is that
they have dual monitor inputs so you can hook up two computers without a KVM switch. The P202 has the regular
15-pin VGA and a 13-W3 connector while the P260 has the 15-pin VGA and a DVI connector. Unfortunately, you
have to navigate several levels of on-screen menus to switch inputs on the P202. The P260 has a toggle switch
on the front bezel.
