Factory Fault with BXMaster?

Hi guys,
I've got a real major problem here with my BXMaster motherboard and some PC-150 Mushkin HSDRAM I just purchased.

I'll give you some background... The PC-150 Ram from Mushkin requires RAM settings of:

Cas Latency = 2
RAS to CAS = 3
Precharge Delay = 2

to run at anything over 124FSB setting.

I'm currently running my P3-700 @ 966 (138FSB) with PC100 Ram and I purchased this RAM in order to reach the 1Ghz mark... however...

When I set the RAM Timings to 2-3-2 in the BIOS, shut down the PC, insert the PC-150 RAM and try to reboot, the system freezes just as its about to start doing the memory test counting thing...

Upon further testing and elmination... I have come to the conclusion that the BIOS settings for the Ram timings, Cas Latency, RAS to CAS and Precharge Delay dont do anything!!!! (((

They are stuck on 2-2-2.
Setting them to 3-3-3 does nothing at all.

To prove this I set the ram to 3-3-3 in the BIOS, loaded Windows, loaded WPCredit and clicked on Offset 76 and in there it reports the Ram timing settings as 2-2-2 (00010111)!

WTF!! Have MSI stuffed up here bad or what??
Am I doing something wrong??
Does it look like the BXMaster is heading for the rubbish bin??

Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. I ordered the 128MB Mushkin 150 HSDRAM for $99 for another motherboard I was going to buy (got it yesterday and it works fine with the Abit SA6R). I tried it out on my BXMaster and when I booted up after going into bios settings and changing to 2-3-2 and change to non-ECC, the memory test would start normal but when it got to 64MB it would jump to 128MB and and say "Memory Test Fail". I call up Mushkin and they send me out aother stick with a preaddressed return label for the original stick (great service). I put the second stick in and get nada, same as you. Would not even post at boot-up, just freeze. I was worried that I was getting some bad RAM, because the stick that I had in there before was a stick of Mushkin 128MB ECC PC133 Cas. 2 Rev. 2 ram and it worked fine. I read your post and figured the board just ain't compatible with the HSDRAM and when I got the Abit SA6R yesterday, I tried the HSDRAM in there and it worked fine, in fact both sticks of HSDRAM booted and worked fine, but I sent the first stick I got back because I was a little leary of the "Memory Test Fail". Mushkin has great service so I would just exchange for a different stick of ram from them like the Rev. 2. Or you could get another motherboard, but the BXMaster is a good board if your not upgrading. Hope this helps...

Oh, and you might want to notify Mushkin that the HSDRAM is not compatible with the MSI BXMaster and has been confirmed by a second party.
