Hi,I am facing two problems.
1) When I am trying to open a site for example tomshardware , I am getting some sort of DNS error and then on refreshing its opening the page. Its happening on every site. The error :http://prntscr.com/5oqndp
2) I am unable to see most of the pics in Facebook and any pics in other site . I can only see this :http://prntscr.com/5oqmu1
I am on Windows 7 Ultimate.

Any solution ?

Try clearing your DNS. Open command prompt and type in
Code:
ipconfig /flushdns

If that doesn't work go into control panel and network adapters and set your DNS servers to OpenDNS.

208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

If you stil have problems you may need to rest the TCP/IP stack. http://www.windows-secrets.co.uk/2013/08/repair-the-windows-87vista-tcpip-stack/

This could be at the application level as well, like your browser. Try Firefox, Pale Moon or Cyberfox.

Do you have a firewall or anti-virus installed?

You also need to keep this to one post! http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2415435

Based on your first post since pings are fine the I suspect this to be at the application level. You may have malware as well.

Run these.

This one will take a while and needs to be run twice. http://www.herdprotect.com/

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

You said you reinstalled Windows 7? It still happened after a fresh install?

I just put 8.8.8.8 as my Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as my Secondary DNS . And then I flushed it. Should I remove those google DNS and set those DNS as suggested by you ?
And I am using built in windows firewall and yes I have Kaspersky antivirus and malwarebytes. Should I uninstall those both ?

You can try the OpenDNS IP addresses I posted, but if Google DNS isn't working than I doubt OpenDNS will either.

I just want to clarify. You did a fresh install of Windows 7 and this probelm still persisted? I mean right from the get go or did you install anything after you reinstalled Win 7? If you did reinstall Windows 7 and you have this problem it could be your router, Ethernet cable, modem or ISP.

Have you tried with any other machine(s) (connecting it to the router)? If you face the same problem there then there could be an issue with the firmware of your router or ISP provider. But if the other machine(s) are working fine then you should try reinstall a fresh copy of windows.

Everyone always reverts to the nuke option. Besides, I think he formatted the computer with a fresh install of Win 7, but we haven't heard back if that is true or not.

The nuke option is the very last option I'd use. You could do a repair install. I try to fix the problem rather than nuking.

Actually I flushed the DNS and used google DNS and installed Windows 8.1 . Now everything is going perfect. 🙂
