I've been searching around for information about this, but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.

With the new Facebook integration on both the 360 and the PS3, can either of them play the goofy Facebook games like Farmtown, Farmville, etc.?

The same with the Wii...can its web browser play those silly games as well?

If any of them had this functionality, this would be a great boon for me, so my wife would stop bugging me to get on Facebook to check her crops in Farmtown while I'm playing WOW... :p

The 360 doesn't have any of the game functionality. I think I remember one of the MS execs mention something about that being something they are working towards.

The PS3 already has access to Facebook because of its browser. The integration was simply optionally sending game achievement and purchases to your Facebook account for all to see. I think the PS3 web browser has had its flash support upgraded though (or it is coming soon) to enhance the 'Facebook experience'. Someone who owns a PS3 would better be able to talk about this.

The Wii's browser isn't good for much unfortunately.

The PS3 browser is woeful. It takes about a minute to load a standard page. That won't do, plus trying to get the wife to use the PS3 controller with all of the buttons and the dual-analog sticks...yeah, no. :p

If the xbox360 facebook can't play farmville, which runs horribly slowly on my PC, then what good is it ;-)

Seriously, i never did understand what the real point of FB/Twitter/etc on consoles was or why anybody cared about it.

Some people have contests w/ friends over gamerscore and such, so achievement announcements may be useful there. Also I guess photo browsing on the console is pretty solid. That said I don't really see the use, but I can find a few reasons why others might care.

Uh...thanks for your opinion? This thread wasn't asking for opinions about how people felt about Facebook on the consoles...I was asking a very specific question about whether something would work or not.

I seem to have gotten the best answer from Queasy already, so I will just take that as the best answer I will get. :p

Do folks even read the OP or just see a thread title and type in a response? o_O
