OK, so what does it exactly mean by someone "requested to tag one of your photos"?? Its a guy who was a very good apprentice/friend of mine about 11 years ago... no contact since then, all of a sudden this... He is not even my FB Friend.
If I allow him, what happens? what exactly does it allow him to do? If you were in my situation, would you allow?

Don't confirm it just yet. Send him a message to make sure he's legit, and that his account hasn't been hacked.

If he's not your friend, tell him to get lost.

It means you posted a photo, and somebody is trying to tag themselves in it... meaning (depending on your privacy settings) people will be able to see that picture when they look for pictures of him. People that need that much attention are generally incredibly lonely and needy, so it's up to you if you want to enable such behavior or deny it.

I know that tagging a photo is simply adding a marker that displays text when the mouse hovers over a portion of the photo. For instance a picture with you in it could be tagged so that your name appears when someone hovers their mouse over your face. I would assume that a person would have to ask permission to tag a photo that they didn't have "ownership" of, as in they were not the person who uploaded it.
