Face blemish post processing technique comparison.. which one looks better?

in the right, you can barely make out a zit on your cheek near her dimple... plus there's some sort of blemish above her left eyebrow...

The question about which one is better is mainly a question about which one looks more natural without looking post processed

Your eyes are weird. I just overlapped the two pics in photoshop to make sure. They both have the exact same size and position.

Nah I was debating with a friend on which method of removing blemeshes from the face works better.

I was telling him how I use the smudge tool at 5% and brush it forwards and backwards over the direction of the skin to smooth the skin without ruining the lighting and making the face look flat - two common traits with airbrushing.

He contended that using the smudge tool was a "noob" way of doing it, and that using the airbrush/history brush is a much better way. I sent him the original, and he gave it a shot with his own method.

I compared them, and I personally think they look the same. He thinks his looks a lot better.

ATOT says mine(left) looks better, or the same.

Yours has less blemishes but his has more colour depth.

if the one on the right cleaned up the right eye a bit better, i'd then say it was better. as it is, the one on the right looks like she got punched in the right eye.

I would like to see the "pre processed" photo.

also, I use the clone stamp to get rid of small things like that

copy the right one in a new layer to the left one and put its opacity to 50%, should do it

the left one is a bit flat, by a tiny bit, the right one has more contrast but is too dark

Don't compare the colors.
I retouched the contrast seperately for the two images, so the contrast settings are different.
