I played this originally on my buddy's original Xbox, and now I have a 360 but no copy of fable to try out...I know its on the PC...Which one would be worthwhile in terms of graphics?? I have the 360 on an HD setup with a nice sound system. Computer is a nice setup as well..I really, really enjoyed as far as I played into the game but I really want to beat the game! Anyhow, anyone play through both?

I've played both. Not a whole lot of either... a couple hours on PC and maybe 10 hours total on Xbox, but I'd choose to play it on 360 since it is backwards compatible and should look plenty good if it allows HD resolution and/or anti-aliasing. Yeah the PC version might be able to look a little better, but both would have plenty good enough graphics. Therefore the reason I'd prefer it on a console is due to the controls. I played it on Xbox first, then PC, so maybe that changes things, but I think the controller is MUCH better for this game. I didn't like using kb+mouse for it. The Xbox controller is great too, especially the triggers, so for me it just plays much better on Xbox, considering that it is an action-RPG and pulling the triggers to swing the sword or whatnot is far better than clicking the mouse repeatedly or whatever.

PC has more content ... the lost chapters with a 2nd adventure and a 2nd ending that ties it up very nicely.

Playing with HDR and everything maxed 4xAA/16xAF is quite nice ... and the story is a hell of a lot better than OverLord's.

and it is about 30 hours if you do *everything*
-- it is a bit too easy ... but still a big

"Fable PC: Lost Chapters" 30 hours of play - WORTH IT!!!

and looking forward to the new Fable and the new "doggy"

Did they really add so many hours? I beat everything on Fable one, maxed out everything, got all the spells in only 8 or 10 hours maximum.

The 360 adds AA to orignal Xbox games, but it doesn't render them in HD (even games that do support 720p or 1080i on the orignal Xbox get rendered at their standard 480 line resolution on the 360's emulator). Any reasonably modren gaming PC can run the game looking far better than what it does on the 360.

Nah, it adds about 4 hours of quest, I beat it in 12 hours, and Lost Chapters is also avalable for Xbox. The only difference gameplay wise is the control method, other than that it is the same game on both platforms.

yeah i scored a copy for $8 at gamestop, and well..i have a widescrren HD setup...and it upscales it, but it stays in 4:3...which always pisses me off..and yes, runnign it on the pc looks better. I might just run it into the vga from my PC if I want to play it on the big screen...

A bit off topic: For those who've played it, how's the combat? I'm not a fan of sit and watch types like guild wars, and really dig Oblivion type real-time combat.

It's definitely not sit and wait. It's hack-n-slash with added spells and abilities that you use in real time, iirc.
