I just noticed this game came out a few days ago. I'm wondering if it's a decent port. Anyone get it yet?

It is a decent port. But it have some issues. First is that if you put vsync on you get a max 30 fps cap. The solution is to force Vsync in nvidia control panel instead and enable tripple buffering. That is the major technical aspect I have to complain about.

As for the game. Well. I am very disappointed. You are pretty much railroaded through the whole game, and when you are not fighting something, it is childish farts and low based humor. It has its moments. But I would not pay full price for it again. I would recommend until steam has it on some sort of deal. It is not worth its current price IMHO.

The Witcher 2 is a far better RPG / Action experience.

I just finished this game and it was worth every penny to me. I might even play through it again and make different choices.

After playing the second one I think it's SUPPOSED to be a lighter hearted RPG. Comparing it to the witcher is silly as they're very different beasts. That said based on Fable 2 I would definitely wait until it hits 30 or below. I liked it enough but it wasn't quite worth the full price.

My friend played it on the 360. He rented it and finished in a few days. I do want to play the game on the PC, because I do not play with a controller very well. my friend on said he liked it on the x-box.

Based on his reactions and finishing the game so quickly, I will wait until it is 30.00 or less though, and then pick it up. I figure somebody should have a sale pretty soon.

I just finished playing through it. I did alot of the side quest stuff (alot of it I should have skipped) and just completed the main storyline.
I was very disappointed, and I was not even affected by the Molyneaux hype as I was for the first Fable. I understood going into it that it wasn't a "serious" RPG/action game.
It looked nice with some graphical glitches here and there.
The combat wasn't horrible but very simplistic.
The interactions were laughable and became stale very quickly. Sadly, they were made necessary.
The scripting/writing was one of the worst things about the game. Some of the things people said were just awkward.
I could go on all day about what I did and didn't like, but I'll sum it up like this:
It looked like an ocean, but was only a foot deep at it's deepest point. :(
A decent waste of time, but that's it.

That's about the feeling I've gotten from all the Fable games. Some people love them, but it just couldn't hold my interest. There are lots of "gimmicks", but the actual core gameplay mechanics are very simple, and worse, challenge-free.

I am on my second play through of the game currently. There are many reasons why I enjoy this game. I will list a few of them.

1. Simple combat system.
2. No QTE's.
3. Supports xbox 360 controller.
4. You do not need a high end system to enjoy the game.
5. Fun quests, aside from the fetch quests which get repetitive.
6. Great voice acting and witty comments from townspeople.
7. Can be good or evil.

Meh

Annoying menu system. Mediocre game play. Hunt and fetch quests. Clunky combat.

I think I should have waited for the book.

I had tons of fun playing it on my 360, but I regret buying it at full, release-day price.
