Fable II for Xbox 360 - what are some other games like it?

My wife and I are . . . hooked on this game.

Are there any games that are similar to this one (can play as a female, somewhat easy - of course, something I can play too), on the Xbox360? I've seen recommendations for Fallout3, but FPS' don't do to well w/ the wife and well, I want to play the game with her.

Any suggestions please?

I would say Too Human but...lol🙂

Does it have to be co-op though? I mean, there aren't many games that let you play as a female. Your wife might like Knights of the Old Republic though! It should be backwards compatible!

If you're looking for an RPG with a co-op mode, the only thing that comes to mind is Sacred II. I haven't tried it personally, but my neighbors (married couple) said they've enjoyed it a lot.

Poor Too Human. It's really a pretty good game saddled with a poor inventory system, and a ridiculously unskippable death animation that appears way too often.

I'm not exactly sure what specific elements you are looking for in a game, but I think Mercenaries 2 offered a co-op element and a female character. It's a 3rd person somewhat open ended game where you can run around and complete missions.

If you don't mind a single player game then look no further than Dragon Age Origins.

I loved Fable 2. I personally liked it better than Fallout 3 (both were very good). The best rpg out is Mass Effect! Fable 3 will be out later this year 🙂 I can't wait.

Which isn't really anything like Fable 2. TBH OP fable has a specific comedic charm that I doubt you'll find elsewhere on the 360.

My thoughts exactly. Honestly you can pick up Fable 1 but it's not co-op. I "believe" you can be a girl on it but I"m not entirely sure (it's been a while). Honestly I dunno why you'd want to be a girl in the game, I made my character in Fable 2 a female and she was so ripped/manly by the end of the game it was nightmarish.

I'll look into it!

I'm not too big on co-op necessarily, and I'm avoiding action games for now (she's not very good a gamer, so the twitchy-split-second response action genre may be a little too much)

Actually, I really did enjoy that game - I'll see if I can dig up a copy!

We have the platinum edition w/ the DLCs where you can get slimming potions . . ..

Ok, then if Co-Op isn't needed then definitely check out Knights of the Old Republic (Old school Xbox). The graphics haven't held up great, but the story line is excellent and it's turn based. No twitchy finger needed.

Fallout 3 is also a great suggestion because the "VATS" is essentially an old school turn based system. You might have to do a little melee against some wondering random animal encounters but 90% of the game can be done through the VATS interface. Again, no twitchy finger needed. Be warned...it's language is rather vulgar if that's a concern.

Not that I want to talk anyone out of playing Fallout 3, but keep in mind that VATS is a consumable (albeit slowly regenerating) resource, so there actually is a little bit of twitchiness to stay alive before you can engage VATS again, at least when engaging multiple enemies.

If co-op is not a concern, Dragon Age: Origins should be on your list, particularly since the combat can be paused at any time to let you come up with informed strategery.

While totally missing out of the wittyness and deep RPG aspects if you want some good non-twitchy co-op action you might consider picking up Marvel Ultimate Alliance/2 or Castle Crashers.

Ahh, I didn't get the DLC so no slimming potions were offered. Man, my character was scary!

Oh, I meant to ask as well; how about Mass Effect 1/2? Is there a steep difficulty curve with the game?

Not really. Just know that it really is a more of an FPS style...only in 3rd person. You have an aiming reticule and the action is much more intense and reaction based rather than tactical/turn based. I think ME:2 was even more action based than the first one.

They are incredible cool games though where your actions really do influence the game and you can really develop relationships with your crewmates. I'm just not sure your wife would really enjoy them if FPS games aren't her cup of tea.
