Fable, Gothic 3, and the Witcher were three of the most fun and immersive games I've played on the PC, each with compelling combat, relatively open-ended play, and an adult slant. Vampire, The Masquerade: Bloodlines was similarly excellent.
Oblivian didn't quite do it for me for some reason - seemed kind of "pointless" for lack of a better word. I can't think of a better way to put it.
I've tried several MMO's and find them all to quickly become intolerably monotonous.
With those games in mind, anything else out now I should check out? Anything similar to the above coming down the pipeline?
I've heard Fable 2 is being developed, but will probably be exclusive to the XBOX, at least for the first couple years after release.
