Has anyone that purchased the collector's edition and did not receive the extra code get the code from Microsoft yet? I signed up on the support website for Fable 2 but I haven't received anything in my Hotmail. I assume something from Microsoft wouldn't get sent to the Junk box, but I should probably check there as soon as I can anyway. But yeah, I want my free code for the game I won't play! 😛

Are you a video game collector?

Nope, I just like opening them! 😀 (not a sarcastic remark, although not serious)

I stopped buying a lot of games, but I still buy games I may eventually want to play. I do also own the original Fable (plus the expansion) for the PC, but never got around to playing it. I'm also a fan of the original Black and White. I just admit that I'll never play it, because that's probably close to being true. I also got the collector's version because of the in-game object which would actually hold some use to me, which now I'm stuck with out. Amazon had a thing up saying that some people reported not getting one, and I was hoping that I'd be one of the few to get it... but alas, I was not.

Hmm, "Big" Fable II announcement incoming, article from Ars Technica.

My guess would be some form of large-scale DLC for the game in the vein of the Shivering Isles expansion for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Given the short length of the main story in Fable II, this seems likely. Of course this is just speculation, and we'll have to wait until next week to find out what the big news really is.

That would be awesome, if it is free of course.

Shivering Isles came out quite a while after OB's release didn't it ?

Anybody think this was extremely short? By the time I got everything leveled up and bought every property in the game, I started the final quest and was done in 30 minutes.

This game was a huge letdown.

I dunno I think it's great. I haven't finished it yet but I'm sure I'm over 20 hours. I've been doing all the quests though.

The full game is showing up on Xbox.com free. Don't know if it's a mistake or not but I added it to my queue:

Link

I know they split it up into 6 parts and let you play the first one free, but this says "Full Game" so hopefully it goes through.

This is just the first episode. You have to pay to unlock the rest, even though it's the same download.

It's always been like that. If you click the "full game" button on that page, it shows it at the regular price of $19.99... that's the real full game page.

If you click "Download" it says "Full Game" in the queue. Buddy of mine says he downloaded Episode 1 previously and it was ~2GB's.

People seem to think it's the full game, not just episode 1, for various reasons that you can read on slickdeals. It made FP.

Yup, full game.

I already had a save going (that I haven't played since august 2009), so needless to say, I had no clue what I was doing.

Apparently I racked up a lot of gold though, but I'll have to start over.

I don't know whether I'm enjoying playing Fable 2 because it's a cool story, good gameplay mechanics and nice graphics, or I'm enjoying because I got it for free.

Or does it even matter?
